About Sunrise Philly
We are the Philadelphia chapter of Sunrise Movement: young people dedicated to stopping climate change and winning a Green New Deal. The GND must ensure every Philadelphian has access to good jobs, stable housing, clean air and water, and green community spaces.
You have something we need to defeat the billionaire class, and stop climate crisis. We all have the capacity to become a leader, and becoming a leader requires spiritual transformation. We are creating the world we want to live in. One that prioritizes community care, connection, emotional processing, collective provisioning, and political education.

Sunrise Philadelphia envisions a world where we aren’t at risk of losing everything to climate disaster. Currently, we are working on expanding our care infrastructure (we keep us safe!), building our base in Philly’s least organized neighborhoods, and bringing climate change back into our collective consciousness.
